VINTAGE ANNETTE FUCHS STUDIO POTTERY BOWL A wonderfully tactile little studio pottery bowl by British ceramicist Annette Fuchs (1939–1992). Measuring just 7cm across and approximately 4cm high, this is a particularly charming small-scale piece. The simple rounded form is beautifully complemented by a subtle muted glaze in earthy grey, blue and soft brown tones, with the throwing lines still visible around the body. Despite its tiny proportions, it has real presence – exactly the sort of understated piece that works beautifully displayed amongst a collection of British studio ceramics. MAKER Annette Fuchs (1939–1992) SIZE Approximately: 7cm diameter 5cm high MATERIAL Studio pottery / ceramic ABOUT ANNETTE FUCHS Annette Fuchs was a British studio potter active during the second half of the 20th century. She is recorded among the potters who worked or trained at the influential Briglin Pottery in London, founded in 1948. Her ceramics are now represented in specialist studio pottery collections and regularly appear at British ceramics and design auctions. Her work is particularly associated with restrained forms, tactile surfaces and the strong functional tradition of post-war British studio pottery. This is a lovely opportunity to acquire a genuine piece by a recognised British studio potter in a wonderfully diminutive size. CONDITION Vintage condition. Please study the photographs carefully as these form an important part of the description. Any minor variations in surface, glaze or form are part of the character of individually made studio pottery. A small but very appealing piece for collectors of British studio pottery, mid-century ceramics and handmade decorative objects. Carefully packed for posting.
