:  at  £30.00  each

An unusual vintage stoneware wall plaque made by The Glen Pottery of Dorset, England. Dating from around the 1970s, the circular plaque features a highly sculptural three-dimensional arrangement of small vases, draped leaves and dark berry-like details. It is finished in a warm, speckled ochre-brown glaze typical of the earthy decorative ceramics of the period. The Glen Pottery mark is stamped on the reverse. Designed for wall display, this substantial 23 cm plaque makes an unusual piece of British vintage ceramic art. The design features four upright and angled vase forms, a small rounded well, hand-modelled leaves and three dark berry-like details. Its warm ochre-brown glaze has a finely speckled finish and a distinctly earthy, retro studio pottery character. Ideal for displaying individual flower stems, grasses or delicate dried foliage. It also makes an interesting decorative piece when left empty. CONDITION Vintage condition. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description. The angled vase is an intentional part of the sculptural design and is not broken. SIZE Approximately 23 cm in diameter. The piece is currently unattributed. A distinctive piece for lovers of vintage studio pottery, sculptural ceramics and unusual 1970s-inspired interiors. It will be carefully wrapped and securely packaged for posting.
