  • Vintage Czech Tango Glass Vase – Orange and Black Art Deco Bohemian Glass, 1920s–30s

:  at  £43.00  each

A wonderfully bold vintage Czech Tango glass vase, dating from the Art Deco period of the 1920s–30s. The vase has a vivid opaque orange body with a dramatic applied deep blue black glass motif trailing down the front. Its flared, hand-shaped rim gives it a sculptural silhouette, while the strong orange-and-black contrast is characteristic of Czech Tango glass. Tango glass was pioneered by Loetz and subsequently produced by several Bohemian glassworks, including Kralik and Franz Welz. As this example is unsigned, I have not attributed it to a particular factory. CONDITION In excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or notable wear. DIMENSIONS Height: 18 cm Maximum width: approximately 10 cm A striking piece of original Art Deco glass that displays beautifully on its own and would add a strong flash of colour to a collection of Czech or Bohemian art glass. Please study all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
