  • Vintage Prinknash Pottery Trio – Gunmetal Metallic Jug, Bowl & Cup – Handmade English Studio Pottery

  • £35.00

:  at  £35.00  each

A striking group of three vintage Prinknash-style pottery pieces, beautifully finished in the distinctive deep gunmetal metallic glaze associated with Prinknash Pottery. The group comprises a rounded pouring jug, small bowl and handled cup. Together they make a particularly attractive display, with the rich charcoal-black glaze catching the light and revealing subtle silvery tones across the hand-finished surfaces. The jug and bowl are both clearly marked to the base with the circular “PRINKNASH – HAND MADE – ENGLAND” stamp. The small handled cup is unmarked, but closely matches the other two pieces in glaze, clay, form and construction and has therefore been kept with them as a complementary piece. Prinknash Pottery was established at Prinknash Abbey in Gloucestershire and became particularly well known for its highly distinctive metallic glazes. Its pottery remains popular with collectors of British studio and decorative ceramics, while the wonderfully dark, understated finish works equally well in a modern interior. Approximate dimensions: Jug – 12.5 cm high × 11 cm wide Bowl – 6 cm high × 9 cm wide Small cup – 6 cm high × 5 cm wide Sold together as a set of three. Vintage items may show minor signs of age and previous use. Please study the photographs, which form an important part of the description. A lovely little collection of English pottery with enough character to display together while remaining wonderfully simple and understated.
