:  at  £102.00  each

A striking sculptural studio pottery vessel by British potter Adrian Abberley. Hand-built in an unusual organic form, the piece features raised fish and botanical decoration across a softly textured surface. Layers of powder blue, turquoise and warm earthy tones accentuate the incised and applied details, while the shaped upper edge gives it an almost shell-like or flowering silhouette. At 26 cm tall, this is a substantial statement piece with real presence. It would make a distinctive addition to a collection of British studio ceramics or a beautiful standalone display piece in a modern interior. CONDITION Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, marks or noticeable damage. Any variations in colour, texture and finish are part of the handmade character of the piece, including the circular mark in the rim MAKER Adrian Abberley was born in Lancashire in 1936 and studied painting and pottery at Southport School of Art. His work includes individually made vessels featuring expressive surfaces, hand-drawn decoration and sculptural forms.
